Vespa Trip Tuscany – explore Italy on an electrified vintage Vespa!

Our prices are based on two people sharing one Vespa and one double room. If you are travelling alone or have an uneven group size, feel free to contact us by email. We will check availability for single rooms or family/multi-bed rooms.

Daily itinerary:
On your arrival day, you will get access to our digital roadbook as part of the theoretical introduction. It includes everything you need for each day: the daily program, restaurant tips, highlights to visit and Google-Maps-Links for navigation.

Battery swap:
To ensure the full range of your Vespa, the battery will be replaced once during lunchtime and fully charged overnight. To keep everything running smoothly, there are two scheduled times each day.

The first meeting time is around lunchtime (e.g., 1:00 PM) where the battery replacement takes place. Battery replacement takes only a few minutes – simply meet the guides at the designated location. Most of the time, this stop is near a scenic spot or small town, so you can have lunch or explore the city while the replacement takes place.

The second time slot is in the evening (e.g., until 6:00 PM). By then, you need to return the Vespa at the hotel so the guides can charge all batteries overnight. Since the Vespa is not used in the evening, all hotels are located within walking distance of the town centre, allowing you to enjoy the night on foot.

Navigation:
Our digital roadbook includes Google-Maps-Links for every daily route. Simply open them on your smartphone and you can navigate easily using the phone holder on your Vespa.

Ride solo or join the convoy:
Each day, you can either follow our carefully designed routes at your own pace or ride together with the guides in a convoy. If navigating independently, just make sure to be in time at the three meeting points during the day.

All our Vespas are authentic models from the 1960s and 1970s that have been electrified in cooperation with our Italian partner RETROKIT. Thanks to the electric motor, riding becomes much easier – no clutch, no manual gear shifting. Just hop on and ride!

Each Vespa rental also includes two helmets and a phone holder.

Which model will you ride?
We exclusively use the Vespa 50 (Smallframe) – both for its iconic 60s design and because our routes are perfectly adapted to this model. Most Tuscan country roads have a speed limit of 50 km/h, making the Vespa 50 ideal for relaxed cruising while fully taking in the scenery.

Prices are based on two people sharing one Vespa (max. 150kg). If you prefer riding on your own, a €150 solo-rider supplement applies.

Never driven a vintage Vespa before?
No problem! On the arrival day, you receive a theoretical introduction with all the important information about driving our electrified vintage Vespas.

On the next morning, you will get a practical introduction directly on the Vespas. Your tour guides will show you how to start and use the Vespa, how to put it safely on the main stand, and how to lock your helmet. After that, you have enough time to practise and get comfortable with your Vespa in the quiet parking area.

Important note: To drive our electric Vespas we require some basic pre-experience with motorised two-wheelers. You do not need to be an experienced motorcycle or Vespa rider, but you should already have ridden a scooter, moped, motorcycle or e-scooter before and know, for example, how the gas-throttle works. If you are not sure if your experience is enough, please feel free to contact us.

To ride our electric Vespas in Italy, you must be at least 18 years old and have held one of the following licence categories for at least two years: AM, A1, A2, A (motorcycle) or B (car). If you are not an EU citizen, you also need an international driving permit, which you can easily obtain from your local authority or automobile club.

Insurance:
All vehicles come with liability and full-coverage insurance with a €500 deductible per Vespa. This deposit is taken on arrival (cash or card) and fully refunded after returning the Vespa without damage.

Roadside assistance:
Our guides always carry a spare Vespa in the support vehicle. In case of any issue, they will replace your Vespa within minutes so you can continue your trip without delay.

Pre-registration:
The pre-registration allows you to get exclusive early access to the travel dates before the official booking period opens. This gives you the best chance to secure your preferred travel dates before everyone else. The pre-registration is free of charge and done via our website.

Booking & payment:
The official booking period starts on 16 March 2026. Once you send us your booking request, we will check availability and confirm your travel dates or inform you about alternative dates within the next working day. To secure your booking, a deposit of 25% of the total travel price is required via bank transfer. The deposit becomes due after receipt of the booking confirmation and the legally required insolvency protection certificate. The remaining balance is due 45 days before the start of the Vespa Trip. If you’ve pre-registered for the Vespa Trip, you’ll automatically receive an email with the payment details from us in mid-March.

Cancellation policy:
Cancellations are free of charge up to 90 days before departure – all payments will be fully refunded.
89–60 days before departure: 25% of the total travel price will be charged.
59–45 days before departure: 50% of the total travel price will be charged.
44–30 days before departure: 75% of the total travel price will be charged.
29–0 days before departure: 90% of the total travel price will be charged.

Cancellation Insurance:
We strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance with a reputable provider such as Allianz, Hanse Merkur or ERGO. This protects you financially if you need to cancel your trip before departure due to unexpected events such as illness, accident, or other unforeseen circumstances, or if you are unable to find a replacement traveller.

Travel Insurance:
We also recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance. This may include coverage for medical expenses abroad, travel interruption, personal liability, and other unforeseen incidents during your journey.

Most of our participants are between 18 and 65 years old. Whether you are travelling solo, as a couple or with friends – this trip suits all ages and group sizes.
